Bring your preschool or Pre-K class together with shirts made from the children’s own artwork. Choose self-portraits if drawing faces suits your group, or use handprints when a portrait is difficult. An adult coordinator gathers the original artwork, sizes and order details; Classroom Faces® prepares the class layout for proof review before printing.
Three existing examples to help you choose
These pictures show previously published designs from our gallery. Use them to compare artwork approaches, then check current shirt and ink availability for your order.

Portraits or handprints: choose before the activity
For self-portraits: choose one template size for the class. Our drawing templates include larger options for students who need more drawing room. Larger drawings are reduced for the finished shirt, so follow the directions printed on the selected template and use the supplies specified for your shirt option.
For handprints or footprints: put each handprint or footprint on its own separate blank white sheet of paper. For a single-ink design, use black finger paint, make a firm, dark print and write the child’s name in black marker beneath it. Keep the name proportionate so it remains readable when reduced. Handprints do not use a face template. Read the complete handprint guidance, including the guidance for full-color options, before choosing materials.
Choose the print style and class wording
Compare the supported class-shirt options: single ink, full color on white, and full-color “Class of” designs. Check the shirt and ink choices for your selected option before collecting money.
For an end-of-year or moving-up project, decide the school name, class wording and year before completing the form. If you choose a “Class of” design, confirm what the year should mean for your group and read its matching instructions. Review all wording on the layout proof before approval.
Plan sizes and the class budget
Check the shirt information and size charts for the adult and youth styles before collecting sizes; do not assume a size from a child’s age. Use an editable parent letter to help collect sizes and ordering information from families.
The number of drawings and paid shirts affects the minimum order requirements. Review pricing, minimums and example order costs before collecting payment. Orders with 15 or more paid shirts qualify for a free teacher shirt; follow the instructions for claiming it. Use the prices and forms for your selected shirt option.
Work backward from your class event
Allow additional time for mailing your packet to us and outbound shipping, as well as processing and proof review. The turnaround clock starts when the order is complete and ready to process; missing or conflicting information must be resolved first. Check the current estimate and mailing and shipping guidance before committing to an event date.
If a date is essential, contact us before ordering. A requested date is not a guaranteed arrival date.
Your preschool class-shirt checklist
- Choose the shirt option, shirt/ink choices and class wording.
- Read the matching artwork instructions before the activity. Use one template size for portraits, or a separate blank white sheet for each handprint or footprint.
- Collect sizes and quantities with an adult coordinator’s private checklist. Keep student information out of public uploads.
- Check the number of original drawings against the completed order form. Place the drawings in an envelope labeled with the teacher’s name and paperclip it to the form.
- Follow the selected form’s payment instructions and mail the packet with tracking. Multiple orders may be mailed together.
- Review the class layout proof before approving it for printing.
